USL Expansion Joints News

Cleveland Bridge, Bath

USL Structural Protection assisted in the design and delivery for longitudinal expansion joints between carriageway and footways.

Scope Of Work:

USL Structural Protection worked with the client to help design and deliver the correct solution for 2no. 35-metre longitudinal expansion joints between carriageway and footways, concrete repairs were required to the deck and watertight joint.

The solution was to use our Britflex NJ 1 type nosing joint with Uniflex secondary membrane. The joint was installed into a narrow, deep trench between an existing kerb and drainage channel. Repairs to the deck were undertaken using our Britflex resin mortar, reducing time and cost to the client.

Comment from client:

"I would like to say thank you for the professionalism and the great service provided by the USL Structural Protection team last week."
